Hairline design

The surgical planning of a natural-looking frontal hairline in hair transplantation.

Hairline design is one of the most important parts of a hair transplant because it frames the face and strongly affects whether the result looks natural. A good design is not a straight line; it is a soft, irregular transition zone with appropriate height, recession, temple relationship, density gradient, graft angle and single-hair placement. Age, future hair loss, donor supply and facial proportions all matter. An overly low or sharp hairline can look artificial and age badly.
