Minoxidil foam

A foam formulation of topical minoxidil used for pattern hair loss.

Minoxidil foam is a topical formulation applied to the scalp to treat male or female pattern hair loss. Compared with solution, foam is often chosen because it dries faster and may be less irritating for people sensitive to propylene glycol, which is found in some solutions. The active ingredient is still minoxidil, so expectations are similar: consistent long-term use is needed, results take months and benefits are usually lost if treatment is stopped. Shedding can temporarily increase early on.
